Steven Cook, FAIA/ Managing Director

Since joining Jahn in 1983, Steve has contributed to a diverse array of building types, leading multiple award-winning projects. Notable designs include the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center, honored with the AIA Chicago Distinguished Building Award; the Headquarters for Deutsche Post in Bonn, recipient of the prestigious CTBUH 10 Year Award; and Eden Tower in Frankfurt, which was also recognized with a CTBUH award. His portfolio further includes the expansion of Cologne/Bonn Airport, with new terminals and a high-speed rail station, and numerous other commercial and residential projects. 

As Managing Director, Steve provides strategic leadership to the design team, ensuring that client programs are fully realized and design intent is preserved throughout every phase, from initial conception through project completion. 

Typically involved from a project’s outset, Steve guides the realization of design concepts, maintaining fidelity to the original vision. He leads the in-house project team, conducts design and technical presentations with clients, and collaborates closely with engineering consultants to develop comprehensive systems integration solutions. 

Steve has been a member of the American Institute of Architects since 1989 and was elevated to Fellow (FAIA) status in 2015 in recognition of his distinguished contributions to the profession.
