Steven Cook, FAIA/ Managing Director

Since joining JAHN in 1983, Steve has worked on a wide range of building types. He has led multiple award-winning projects, including the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center, recipient of an AIA Chicago Distinguished Building Award and the Headquarters for Deutsche Post in Bonn, which received the CTBUH 10 Year Award. Other important projects include the expansion of the Cologne/Bonn Airport with new terminals and a highspeed rail station, as well as hotels, conference, and exhibition facilities. As a Managing Director, Steve leads the design team, ensuring that the Client’s program is clearly fulfilled and the design intent is maintained, from conception through completion.

On a typical project, Steve will join the team at the onset, and work to realize the design concept so that the completed work remains true to the original vision. Steve leads the in-house project team, meets with the client for design and technical presentations, and develops detailed systems integration concepts with the engineering consultants. Steve has been registered since 1985 and a member of the AIA since 1989, and was elevated to FAIA in 2015.
