Skylines Transformed: See How Jahn Is Redefining Urban Living Around the World
June 10, 2025

Jahn’s global residential portfolio reflects a legacy of innovation, clarity, and urban integration—consistently redefining how people live in dense and dynamic environments.

One of the firm’s earliest contributions, State Street Village at the Illinois Institute of Technology, referred to today as the Jeanne and John Rowe Village, challenged the norms of campus housing with transparent, interconnected units that promote community and openness. Shortly after, the Margot and Harold Schiff Residences in Chicago set a new standard for supportive housing by merging dignity with thoughtful design.

600 North Fairbanks continued this trajectory with a sleek, glass-clad tower that introduced minimalist elegance to downtown Chicago. In Las Vegas, The Veer Towers tilt boldly above the CityCenter complex, bringing architectural drama to the desert skyline and embodying both structural daring and the energy of urban life. Cosmopolitan Tower in Warsaw extended this vision abroad, offering refined interiors and efficient layouts within a glass tower that became a symbol of contemporary urban living in Poland.

With Zunda Towers (formerly known as Z-Towers) in Riga, Jahn explored the interplay of twin forms and panoramic living along the Daugava River, creating one of the tallest residential projects in the Baltics. In Berlin, the Campus Ohlauer Straße combined student housing with community-oriented public space in a sensitive response to Kreuzberg’s urban fabric. In Frankfurt, Eden Tower introduced Germany’s first high-rise with fully integrated, year-round living façades, merging sustainability with luxury.

In New York, 50 West delivered sculptural form and sweeping views in the Financial District. Capping Jahn’s recent work, 1000M is a shimmering glass tower along historic Michigan Avenue that redefines vertical residential living through expressive form, sustainability, and lifestyle-driven design.
Jahn’s residential portfolio is a testament to the firm’s ability to balance bold architectural expression with human-centered design. From student housing and supportive residences to luxury towers across global cities, each project reflects a commitment to livability, innovation, and contextual sensitivity. Together, these works demonstrate how architecture can elevate everyday life while shaping the identity of the cities they inhabit.
